Here's a quick mockup that shows what a playfield CAD file might look like. There's a drawing file behind this. The process that I would use to recreate a playfield would go something like this:
1) Create a 1:1 scan at 300dpi of a playfield to be reproduced.
2) Move it into CAD.
3) Create a library of all cutouts - pup bumpers, flippers, screws, lane slots, and so on.
4) Drag and drop the parts onto the playfield image
5) Recreate the artwork in a drawing program.
There will be many bumps along the way, and a lot of learning to do.
