| We had a Wizard, my birthday present in 1988. I fixed it all up and
sold it, replacing it with the Twilight Zone and others. The machine received new rubbers, lamps, posts and bumpers. I stripped it, and coated the playfield with water-based varathane (one can, three coats) After a month of curing, I polished it with nice results.
For cleaning a dirty playfield, you can't beat Novus #1 and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.
