Fixing a Cabinet Hole
German pinball re-imports usually come with a 42mm hole in the side of the cabinet, presumably for some locking device. The hole is unattractive, so here's how we patched one on an Addams Family Gold.
Here's the patched hole. There's a wooden plug in there, supported and leveled with epoxy. On TAFG, the base artwork is roughly mirrored from left to right, so I scanned the other side with my flatbed, and photoshopped in some shadow detail to make a better match.
I used white photo film from Papillio. This material uses a polyester base, so it doesn't stretch like vinyl. The machine and my printer are about 2 miles apart, so I wasn't able to play with the color match - but it is close enough.
Here's the finished sticker job.
