The Funhouse Mirror Bracket

The Funhouse mirror picks up the occasional airball, which causes the mirror to crack. Part of the problem is that the mirror bracket does not support the full width of the mirror. I set out to build a better one...

Here are the two brackets side by side, with the old bracket on top of a blank for a new one. Note how the new bracket is larger all around than the old one. The material is 20GA stainless steel, which is a lot tougher then than old bracket. It won't get so beaten up.
