The Kitchen Gas Line
So what's all this?
When we remodeled our kitchen, we had to add a gas line. To add a gas line, you have to make sure that you get planning permission. This is the plan that I submitted.
In the white boxes, the top number is the gas load on that pipe in cubic feet per hour, based on the appliances that the pipe feeds. The bottom number is the capacity of the pipe. The goal is to keep load under capacity to avoid pressure drops. Pressuredrops are dangerous because they can temporarily extinguish a pilot light; when the gas returns, it is not burnt and leaks out, creating a hazard.
