Twilight Zone Clearcoated Playfield

This is a used playfield that was touched up and clearcoated by Playfield Renovations. It is a nice playfield, with sharp colors and a fabulous clearcoat finish. It has the green lock insert and the holes for the extra pop bumper posts.

This is a restored playfield, and there are a few defects that need to be identified. They are not obvious unless you know what you are looking for. The defects are all sealed under the clearcoat. They will not affect play, nor will they deteriorate further. They are hard to see unless you know what you are looking for.

1) A small scratch in the "LOCK 2" lens. 2) Minor ball dirt in the yellow brick area around the top right pop bumper. 3) Minor ball dirt in the slot machine eject trail 4) Slight unevenness in the playfield in the slot machine trail, same area as (3). 5) Some dirt on the rear side. 6) Some uneveneness in the playfield, leveled out by the clearcoat. Shows as a slight waviness in reflections.

I have tried to catch everything.

The two touchup areas. This is the big one, there used to be great holes in this area. PFR fixed that to perfection!

And, of course, the shooter lane.

This playfield has a couple of early features.

First, it has a green "LOCK" insert. Later playfields are amber.

And second, the extra post holes in the pop bumper area. These are for metal posts that reduce the frequency of ball drains.

The playfield is not drilled for the third magnet.

The top third.

There is a small scratch on the lens of the "LOCK 2" insert. It is hard to see this in the picture.

The middle

There are a few ball marks at the very edge of the pop bumper.

And the bottom.

And a few ball marks in the eject trail from the slot machine. This area is slightly uneven, and if you run your fingers over it you can feel it. However, it is VERY hard to spot unless you look carefully.
